Honey Apple Smash

Before carving the turkey or slicing the ham, it’s only right to kick off the holiday meal with a proper celebratory cocktail! This tart apple and cinnamon-spiced sipper is bursting with seasonal flavors and is a great chef’s sidekick while cooking dinner. It’s simple, naturally-sweetened, and smashingly delicious.

  • 2 large apple slices, like Honeycrisp
  • 2 ounces white rum
  • ½ ounce lemon juice
  • ½ ounce Nature Nate’s pure honey
  • Dash of bitters
  • Cinnamon stick


Mash an apple slice in the base of a glass with a muddler. Add ingredients other than the cinnamon; shake and strain into a highball glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with an apple slice dusted with freshly grated cinnamon.
