Honey Apple Chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper, and set aside. De-core apples, and slice them 1/8 inch thick (it’s easiest to use a mandolin).

Then place the apple slices on the baking sheets in a single layer. In a small bowl, mix together honey, melted butter or oil, cinnamon, and salt. Using a small pastry bush, spread mixture onto each apple slice (one side only). Place them on the middle rack of oven, and bake for 1 hour. After the hour is up, flip the slices, and place back in oven for another 1 hour and 25 minutes. Pull from oven and let cool on a cooling rack. They will finish crisping up once cooled. Store in an air-tight container for up to 3 days.
