Honey Apple Chips
Yield: 40 Chips
Prep Time: 15 Minutes
Total Time: 2 Hours 40 Minutes
- 3 Granny Smith apples
- 2 Tbsp Nate’s Organic 100% Pure Honey
- 1 Tbsp melted butter or coconut oil
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
Directions
Preheat oven to 200°F. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper, and set aside. De-core apples and slice them ⅛ inch thick (it’s easiest to use a mandolin).
Place the apple slices on the baking sheets in a single layer. In a small bowl, mix together honey, melted butter or oil, cinnamon and salt. Using a small pastry bush, spread mixture onto each apple slice (one side only). Place them on the middle rack of oven and bake for 1 hour. After the hour is up, flip the slices, and place back in oven for another 1 hour and 25 minutes. Pull from oven and let cool on a cooling rack. They will finish crisping up once cooled. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
