Looking for back-to-school inspo for kids’ snacks and sweets? We’ve got you covered. These honey apple chips are an easy way to give the crunch kids crave while adding a hint of sweet they love. Include them in their lunches or afternoon snack for a #parentwin everyone can appreciate.

Yield 40 chips
Prep Time 15 minutes
Total Time 2hr 25min

Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper, and set aside. De-core apples, and slice them 1/8 inch thick (it’s easiest to use a mandolin).

Then place the apple slices on the baking sheets in a single layer. In a small bowl, mix together honey, melted butter or oil, cinnamon, and salt. Using a small pastry bush, spread mixture onto each apple slice (one side only). Place them on the middle rack of oven, and bake for 1 hour. After the hour is up, flip the slices, and place back in oven for another 1 hour and 25 minutes. Pull from oven and let cool on a cooling rack. They will finish crisping up once cooled. Store in an air-tight container for up to 3 days.
