Texas Chicken Waffle Tailgating Sandwiches

Feed the whole team with these tasty honey-butter waffle sandwiches. Filled with crispy chicken, tangy bleu cheese and buffalo sauce, this combo is a winner!

12 frozen waffles (square shaped)

1 (28 oz) package frozen crispy chicken strips

12 sliced cooked bacon

2/3 cup buffalo sauce

1 (4 oz) container crumbled bleu cheese

3/4 cup butter, melted

Heat oven to 400ºF.

With a sharp knife, slice waffles on the diagonal.

Spray the bottom of a 11×17” baking dish with nonstick baking spray.

Arrange 6 waffles in the bottom of the dish.

Top with chicken strips and bacon, drizzle with buffalo sauce and sprinkle on bleu cheese.

Arrange waffles on top.

Skewer each sandwich together with a bamboo cocktail skewer.

Drizzle sandwiches with butter and honey.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until chicken is heated through and top waffles are golden and crispy.

Serve with honey for dipping or drizzling.
