Sam’s Club launching Meals from Members platform supporting Feeding America
BENTONVILLE, February 28, 2017— This March, Sam’s Club is launching Meals from Members, a social giving platform benefiting Feeding America®, the largest hunger-relief and food rescue organization in the U.S. Through the relationship between Sam’s Club, Feeding America, and supplier partners, Sam’s Club members are able to give back to their local community food banks in an impactful way! The Sam’s Club program allows members to help secure 12 meals* for their local Feeding America network food bank via the purchase of participating item(s) or by texting “MEALS” to 88222.
Starting February 28th and running through March 31st 2017, Sam’s Club members will be able to purchase from 15 participating items including Cheerios, Nature Valley, Prego, Cup O-Noodles, and Nature Nate’s Honey to help Feeding America secure twelve meals for their local food bank. Members are asked to visit www.SamsClub.com/GiveMeals to redeem their donation.
“There are families in every community across the country who are challenged consistently to provide balanced meals for their household,” said Diana Aviv, CEO at Feeding America. “With millions of families in the U.S. facing hunger, this is a critical time for our network to collaborate with other advocates for hunger relief to help provide support for people in need. Support from programs like Meals from Members bring much-needed awareness and an opportunity for anyone to join the fight to end hunger in America.”
