Nature Nate’s Honey Co. Supports The Honey and Pollination Center at University of California, Davis

The number-one branded honey company will invest in industry-leading research and educational programs for the third year in a row at UC Davis

MCKINNEY, TEXAS – September 27, 2022 – In honor of National Honey Month, Nature Nate’s Honey Co., the number-one branded honey company in the U.S. and producer of 100% pure, raw & unfiltered honey, continues its investment in UC Davis Honey and Pollination Center at the Robert Mondavi Institute for Wine and Food Science.

“We are honored to continue working with our partners at the University of California, Davis, promote responsible beekeeping practices and protect honey bee health,” said Nathan Sheets, President and CEO of Nate’s. “As the branded leader in honey, Nate’s believes we have a responsibility to make a positive impact on the future of bee health – and it starts with research and education. We are proud to do all we can to support healthy hives.”

Since 2020, Nate’s has supported the efforts of The Honey and Pollination Center to understand how honey adulteration affects beekeepers, honey production and, ultimately, our food system. Through Nate’s Long Live the Bees initiative, the company invests in programs that keep hives healthy and honey bee populations thriving, so everyone can enjoy the unadulterated goodness of real, pure honey. In addition, Nate’s supports honey bee health programs at other leading universities across the U.S.

UC Davis been ranked number-one nationally for its Department of Entomology and Nematology and continues to lead the way in agricultural innovation and sustainability, in part through fostering pollinator-related research and conferences.

“Support from the honey industry, like this invaluable gift from Nature Nate’s, allows the Center to develop research concerning purity of honey varietals, invest in the future of beekeeping through the Master Beekeeping Program and to help fund graduate student research in the Department of Entomology,” said Amina Harris, director of the Honey and Pollination Center.
