Yield 3 cups
Prep Time 5 minutes
Total Time 12 hours
- 1 cup raw, organic cashews
- 3 cups filtered water, plus more for soaking nuts
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp Nature Nate’s pure honey
- 1 cup water
- 2 earl grey tea bags or 2 tsp loose earl grey tea
Directions
First, make the honey cashew milk by placing raw cashews in a glass container and fill with water to cover. Soak overnight. In the morning, strain the cashews and rinse well. Place the cashews in a high powered blender, along with water, cinnamon, vanilla and honey, cover and blend on high until completely smooth. Store in a glass jar in the refrigerator for up to one week.
Then to make the latte, steep the tea bags or loose tea in 1 cup of boiling water on the stove for 3-5 minutes. While the tea is steeping, steam the already prepared cashew milk in a second pot over medium heat on the stove. When the tea has finished steeping, remove the bags or strain any loose tea. Pour into a mug and fill half way. Take the steamed cashew milk and pour over the tea until mug is filled. Top with a drizzle of honey. Sip and enjoy.
