Overnight French Toast

Tender and tasty, this simple overnight recipe turns a baguette into breakfast.

Ingredients
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups half and half
  • Zest and juice of 1 orange
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 baguettes, sliced or cut into cubes
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • ⅔ cup Nate’s 100% Pure Honey
  • 1 ½ cups fresh raspberries
  • 1 ½ cups fresh blueberries

Directions

In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, half and half, orange juice and zest, cinnamon and vanilla extract. Add baguette slices to oven-safe pan and coat with mixture. Cover with plastic wrap and allow to soak overnight.

In the morning, preheat oven to 350°F.  Drizzle the top of the bread with melted butter and honey. Toss blueberries and raspberries on top of bread. Bake at 350°F for 50 minutes. Serve with more honey for an all-natural sweet topping.
