Optional add-ins:
- Vanilla: 1 tsp scraped vanilla bean
- Chocolate: 2 Tbs cocoa
- Cinnamon: 1 ½ tsp cinnamon
Directions
Pour the honey into a bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer. (If you’re using a handheld mixer, be prepared to mix for about 10 minutes.) Using electric beaters or the whisk attachment for the stand mixer, whip the honey on medium-high speed for about 10 minutes, or until it reaches your desired fluffy, whipped consistency. For flavor options, add as you’re mixing.
Once the honey has been whipped, transfer it to a jar.
Serve it as a dip with fruit, spread over toast, or drizzle over oatmeal; the options are endless. Store it in the fridge to make a very thick spreadable honey, or at room temperature. After the honey sits for a bit, you may see a foamy layer on top of the honey. This separation is expected – just give the honey a good stir before using.
