Sheets was appointed to serve by Collin County Judge Chris Hill, who recently established the Economic Recovery Task Force in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

“As a result of COVID-19 and the shelter-in-place orders, many North Texans are struggling with how to support themselves and their families,” said Sheets. “As I join this task force, my goal is to offer creative ways to jump start our economy and ensure families have what they need to thrive during this unique time of recovery.”

The newly established task force is comprised of business and industry experts and leaders from companies and organizations across the county and across various industries.

“I tasked this team to develop strategies to get Collin County families back to work safely and as soon as possible; and to develop ideas for city, county, and state policy makers to promote a sustainable economic recovery in Collin County,” said Hill. “Their guidance, taken together with the advice of our medical doctors and scientists, will provide the foundation of our strategy to get Collin County families back to work.”
