Garlic Herb Honey Butter Roasted Chicken

Nate’s pure honey helps tenderize the meat while lemon, garlic and Italian seasonings add flavor and depth to this main dish. Whether you’re feeding a crowd, or looking for a balanced weeknight meal (with the opportunity for leftovers), this recipe will not disappoint.

  • 1 whole roasting chicken, around 3-4 lbs
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons Nate’s honey
  • 2 teaspoons lemon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt

Preheat your oven to 450℉. Place your chicken in a 9”x13” pan, then pat dry with paper towels.

Whip together the butter, honey, lemon pepper, italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt. Rub thoroughly over the entire chicken.

Roast for 10 minutes at 450℉, uncovered.

Turn your oven temperature down to 350℉, then roast for an additional 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken breast reaches 160℉. Put foil over the chicken legs about halfway through, to prevent overcooking while the rest cooks.

Let it rest for 10-15 minutes to cool before cutting and serving.
