Directions
Yield: 1 Chicken
Prep Time: 30 Minutes
Total Time: 1 Hour 50 Minutes
Ingredients
- 1 whole roasting chicken, around 3-4 lbs
- 6 Tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tsp Nate’s 100% Pure Honey
- 2 tsp lemon pepper
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp kosher salt
Directions
Preheat your oven to 450℉. Place your chicken in a 9 x 13-inch pan, then pat dry with paper towels.
Whip together the butter, honey, lemon pepper, Italian seasoning, garlic powder and salt. Rub thoroughly over the entire chicken.
Roast for 10 minutes at 450℉, uncovered.
Turn your oven temperature down to 350℉, then roast for an additional 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken breast reaches 160℉. Put foil over the chicken legs about halfway through, to prevent overcooking while the rest cooks.
Let it rest for 10-15 minutes to cool before cutting and serving.
