The Dallas Business Journal Names Becca May of Nature Nate’s Honey Co. as 40 Under 40 Award Honoree

The prestigious award recognizes the top 40 North Texas men and women in business under the age of 40

MCKINNEY, TEXAS – March 22, 2019 – The Dallas Business Journal has named Becca May, vice president of marketing at Nature Nate’s Honey Co., as a 2019 40 Under 40 Award Honoree. The annual award recognizes 40 of the region’s brightest and most talented up-and-comers who are under the age of 40.

“Often the youngest at the table, Becca is not only an exceptional leader, but a major force for vision and growth within our Nature Nate’s family,” said Nathan Sheets, founder and CEO, Nature Nate’s. “Becca has an uncanny instinct for trending issues and a gift for creative storytelling which drives our marketing strategy. But her influence doesn’t end there – she challenges every one of us to use our resources to make an impact and transform our world. We are thrilled she’s been recognized for her hard work, passion and excellence.”

Over the last three years, May’s smart risk-taking marketing strategies have helped grow Nature Nate’s into the number-one branded honey company in the U.S. Recently, May’s “Happy Hives, Happy Lives” campaign won a coveted Communitas Award for leadership in community service and corporate social responsibility – the only one in 2018 for a privately-held food and beverage company.

“Honorees of the 2019 40 Under 40 Awards guide companies and nonprofits that represent businesses from a variety of sizes and stages — a reflection of the diversity of industry and entrepreneurship that comprises North Texas’ business community,” said Anna Butler, managing editor, Dallas Business Journal.

The annual Dallas Business Journal 40 Under 40 Award program draws several hundred nominations spotlighting young leaders that span a variety of industries and roles at private, public and non-profit organizations.

The 2019 honorees were profiled in a special report in the Dallas Business Journal on March 22, 2019. To see the full list of this year’s recipients, please click here.
