These Asian Style Baby Back Ribs came out money! Seasoned the rack with ashkickinbbq Honey Chipotle Rub and SPG from sucklebuster, using a binder of trybachans BBQ Sauce. Smoked for 3 hours on the traegergrills Pro 780 at 225° using knottywoodbbq Almond Cab pellets, spritzing with a combo of Apple Juice & ACV. Wrapped in foil with naturenates Honey, hungryjack Maple Syrup, butter, more rub, Bachans, and some spritz. Back on the smoker at 275° for about 1-1.5 hours. The sauce was Bachans + huyfongfoods Sriracha, and basted that on the rack. Back on the smoker for a good 20-30 minutes, and topped with Sesame Seeds and Green Onions. You gotta try these out! •

Head into intense morning training sessions fasted? If it happens every once in awhile, you’re decreasing abilities for that one workout, probably increasing your cortisol (stress hormone) and maybe impacting hunger hormones. Not a *huge* deal for long term health and performance, but also not great for those prone to anxiety, with high stress, or looking for an efficient workout.
Fast for intense training all of the time though, and you’ll really start messing with your muscle recovery and may harm hormone health, especially with female reproductive hormones. If you’re training fasted in the morning, you’re more likely to tap into muscle as an energy store. Even if you’re not planning on reproducing, harming balance of hormones that support that can also mean you’re harming your bone health.
Training at a *low* intensity for under an hour? Think yoga, mat Pilates, walking, you’re probably fine fasted. But if you want to maximize your physical performance during training, support recovery, and support mental performance the rest of the day, start with a small snack as shown above! {including the last option that IG took the text away from - leftover toddler pancake w/ PB, a regular for me}.
For those with more specific strength goals, additional protein may be beneficial. There may also be differences in need depending on stage of menstrual cycle in women. Stay tuned for more on that another time!

Eating a large bowl of oatmeal fuels me up and puts a smile on my face 😊

The cool thing is you can simply cut all the ingredients in half 🔪½
In doing so, simply reduce the microwave time from 3 minutes to ✌️

Abre Ojos Spicy Honey Margarita Recipe (serves 4):
• 1 Tbs Tajin
• 1 tsp course salt
• 6 oz Abre Ojos Tequila Silver
• 4 oz fresh lim juice
• 1 oz Hot Honey
• 1 large jalapeño, sliced into 12 slices
• 2 oz fresh squeezed orange juice
• 3 oz club soda
How to:
1. Mix 1 Tbs of Tajin with 1 tsp of course salt.
2. Slice one lime into 4 wedges & run wedges around the rim of each glass.
3. Dip each glass into the Tajin salt
4. In a large cocktail shaker, muddle 8 slices of jalapeño and 1 oz of Hot Honey.
5. Add 6 oz of Abre Ojos Tequila Silver, 4 oz of fresh lime juice, 2 oz of orange juice, and fill with ice. Shake and serve over ice.
