Ingredients
- 3½-5 lb brisket
- 1 Tbsp salt
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp chili powder
- ½-1 tsp cayenne pepper, to taste
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ cup ketchup
- ½ cup molasses
- ¼ cup Nate’s 100% Pure Honey
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp Dijon mustard
- ⅓ cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp cold water
Directions
Place the brisket in a slow cooker. Whisk together the salt, garlic powder, chili powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, ketchup, molasses, honey, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar and minced garlic. Pour over the brisket. Cook on low heat for 10-12 hours, or until the brisket is tender and shreds easily.
Remove the brisket from the slow cooker and trim fat as desired. Pour the drippings into a small saucepan, and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Whisk together the cornstarch and water, then slow whisk into the simmering drippings. Cook for about 1 minute, or until thickened slightly. Drizzle the sauce over the brisket and enjoy!
