“The early bird gets the worm” is a phrase many of us have heard, but for Sally, being the early bird has become a way of life as the First Shift Production Lead at Nature Nate’s Honey Co.. Starting at 3:30 am, Sally and her team are some of the busiest bees at the farm, making sure the honey you crave is packaged and ready for your kitchen counter.
At Nature Nate’s Honey Co., we believe every teammate matters, from the first to clock in, to the last to clock out, and we are passionate about showing you what makes us the #1 branded honey company in the country.
Meet Sally, First Shift Production Lead at Nature Nate’s Honey Co.
Q: How would you describe your role on the Nature Nate’s team?
I love my role at the farm. I am what is called the “First Shift Lead” which means I help oversee production at the plant. My day is filled with sweet stories of hard work and faithfulness with a team that I love. I have the privilege of helping ensure that every label is perfect on each Nature Nate’s bottle, that the honey is the precise amount it should be, and that the product you receive is exactly what you expect.
My team is full of diligent, hard-working people who I help steward and encourage daily. Every bottle you see on the shelf or receive to your door is backed by a team whose passion is to bring you the highest-quality product – no matter how early we start.
Q: As a company, we strive to be leaders in educating consumers on why choosing raw and unfiltered honey over processed sugar is important as well as setting the highest quality standards in our field. What strides do you see us making to ensure both goals are met?
We work closely with our Quality Assurance team to make sure every batch of honey that enters our facility and exits through a bright orange bottle is 100% pure, guaranteed. We are diligent to ensure our quality standards are met for pesticides, antibiotics, sugar spectrum, isotopes, and pollen. We are proud to have a process for everything we do, and don’t hesitate to pull a bottle that doesn’t meet the high standards we have in place.
Q: The Nature Nate’s family implements a set of core values called the Bee Attitudes. Is there a specific attitude you strive to implement?
I really like our Bee Attitudes. The one I focus on the most is Bee Passionate. It’s important to me to put forth all my efforts when I come into work. I want to show my team how dedicated I am to them, our role at the farm, and our mission as a company. I want to show them courage and positivity that can inspire them throughout the day.
Q: What is something you want people to know about Nature Nate’s that they might not know from just looking at our orange label?
At Nature Nate’s, it really is true that we are more than just employees who show up to work, we are family. We are always willing to lend a hand to someone in need, both at the farm and in our community. When Nate and our leaders pray for our company, they also include us and our families, and that’s really important to me.
