Honey for Wellness

Manuka honey takes the benefits of honey to the next level. Used widely as part of a wellness routine, this heavily researched natural sweetener is as rare as it is unique.

Not all Manuka honey is the same.

As the most trusted honey company, we feel responsible for bringing the highest-quality, New Zealand Manuka honey to the U.S.

Our mono-floral, genuine Manuka honey is sourced and bottled in New Zealand, which is the only location source of authentic Manuka honey.

You can trust you’re getting the best Manuka honey when purchasing Nate’s.

What is UMF?

Nate’s Manuka is certified UMF by the only internationally recognized certifying body of Manuka, the UMF Honey Association (UMFHA). UMFHA ensures the honey awarded its certification is the gold standard for potency (MGO), authenticity (some Manuka honey isn’t real Manuka!), shelf life and freshness.

Part of a beauty regimen

Some use Manuka honey topically as part of their skincare or haircare routine, a natural alternative to hair and skin products full of harsh chemicals.

What does MGO mean?

One of the presumed values of Manuka honey is its MGO (methylglyoxal) strength, the source of its unique activity. The UMFHA verifies Nate’s MGO levels to ensure they’re significant.

The pollen bees source from the flowers of the Manuka plant in New Zealand contains dihydroxyacetone, or DHA, a plant chemical. This DHA is slowly converted to MGO.1
