Honey Garlic Shrimp
There’s no reason for us to be shellfish, so we’re sharing this easy-to-prepare dish that’s ready in 30 minutes or less! Combining honey, garlic, soy sauce and ginger, this shrimp is equal parts sweet and savory. Serve over rice or a simple salad – enjoy!
Directions
Yield: 2 Servings
Prep Time: 15 Minutes
Total Time: 45 Minutes
Ingredients
- ⅓ cup Nate’s 100% Pure Honey
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (add more for more spice)
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 green onion, sliced thin
Directions
In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger and red pepper flakes. Pour half of the sauce into a smaller bowl and set aside. Add the shrimp to the medium-sized bowl and toss in the sauce. Let marinate for 20-30 minutes.
In a saute pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Remove the shrimp from the marinade and cook for 1-2 minutes per side, until just barely pink throughout. Add the remaining sauce (that was set aside earlier) to the shrimp, and cook just until it starts to simmer and reduce slightly, about 5 minutes.
Remove from the heat and top with green onion to serve.
