We love ziti. We love creamy sauce. What could make that pasta combination better? Hello slow cooker! Not only will you be happy with this one-pot wonder but let your latest pasta craze begin.

Ingredients

For the pasta:

  • 1 lb ziti
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup aged gouda or sharp white cheddar, shredded

For the sauce:

  • 6 cups milk
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 Tbsp Nate’s 100% Pure Honey
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • 4 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ cup chopped green onion (optional)

Directions

Butter sides of a large Crock-Pot or use a liner to avoid sticking. Set Crock-Pot to a high setting. Layer pasta and cheeses in the Crock-Pot. Whisk together all of your sauce ingredients in a bowl until well-combined. Pour over pasta and cheese. Cover and allow to cook for one hour. Stir pasta and cook for an additional hour. Stir pasta once more and cook for 30 minutes. Serve hot with optional green onions.
