Nature Nate’s Receives Communitas Award for Leadership in Community Service and Corporate Social Responsibility

MCKINNEY, TEXAS – (November 16, 2018)Nature Nate’s Honey Co., producer of 100% Pure, Raw & Unfiltered Honey and the number-one branded honey company in the U.S., received a Communitas Award for their leadership in community service and corporate social responsibility. The recognition shines a light on Nature Nate’s “Happy Hives, Happy Lives” initiative that launched earlier this year.

The Communitas Awards is an international effort to recognize exceptional businesses, organizations and individuals that are unselfishly giving of themselves and their resources, and those that are changing how they do business to benefit their communities. It is an outgrowth of the pro bono recognition program of the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP).

“Receiving a Communitas Award is a great honor for our team at Nature Nate’s, and it aligns perfectly with our mission of grow to give,” said Nathan Sheets, founder and CEO, Nature Nate’s. “Communitas, which translates to people helping people in Latin, is in the lifeblood of each of our employees. When we all come together, it’s amazing how we’re able to support the environment, communities in need around the world and the bees that produce our honey.”

The “Happy Hives, Happy Lives” initiative is at the core of Nature Nate’s corporate social responsibility efforts and is driven by three pillars – bee health, sustainability and community service. The company promotes bee health through responsible beekeeping, educating the younger generations about bee ecosystems and partnering with leading research universities like Cornell University and University of Georgia.

Nature Nate’s is also committed to providing high-quality, sustainable products. All product packaging (bottles, packets and shipping boxes) are 100 percent recyclable, with labels being biodegradable and all on-site waste material recycled. Their community service efforts, falling under the “Honey Gives Hope” program, include honey donations to food banks around the country, monetary donations to family-centered organizations around the world and partnerships with organizations like the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Boy Scouts of America and Empower One.
