Cocoa Nib Honey Brownie
Yield: 16 Brownies
Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Total Time: 35 Minutes
- ¾ cup butter
- Four 1 oz squares unsweetened chocolate
- ⅔ cup oat flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- ¾ cup Nate’s 100% Pure Honey
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup raw cocoa nibs
- ½ cup chopped nuts or semisweet chocolate chips, optional
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Coat an 8 x 8-inch baking dish with cooking spray and a dusting of flour.
Melt butter and chocolate in a medium saucepan over very low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in flour, eggs, honey and salt until well combined. Add cocoa nibs (and nuts or semi-sweet chips, if using).
Bake for 25-27 minutes. Cool slightly, and press the entire surface of the brownies with the heel of your hand. This will make them more dense.
Cut into 16 squares.
To Make Heart-Shaped Brownies
Pour brownie batter into an 8-cavity silicone heart-shaped cupcake mold, like this one >>. Bake for 17-20 minutes, or just until the center of the brownies is set. Cool before removing, repeat with remaining batter. If desired, decorate cooled brownies with decorators icing. Makes 16 heart-shaped brownies.
