Baked Bean Trio with Honey and Bacon

Homestyle and slow cooked, this baked bean trio with honey and bacon is perfect to serve with a rotisserie chicken or pork roast. Give yourself enough time for dinner and easily make this ahead of time, so you can pull it from the freezer and drop it into the crockpot. The aroma of the beans and bacon is mouthwatering and will bring everyone to the table.

  • 1/2 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 15-ounce can garbanzo beans
  • 1 15-ounce can kidney beans
  • 1 15-ounce can black beans
  • 1/3 cup Nature Nate’s Raw & Unfiltered Honey
  • 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 3 ounces tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Saute onion in bacon fat until golden.

Add garlic and saute until just fragrant.

Combine all ingredients  and place in a crockpot or oven safe bowl.

Cook on low setting in crockpot for 2 hours, or in oven for one hour at 300 degrees.
