A Servant’s Heart

At Nature Nate’s Honey Co., our people are the heartbeat of our company. Behind every bottle and every transaction, there is a dedicated team member who makes it possible for us to serve the highest quality honey to your family.

As we celebrate National Honey Month and our company’s 24th anniversary, we wanted to introduce you to our longest-tenured employee, Angie. In 2011, Angie started working for Nature Nate’s a few days a week from the home office of our very own Nathan “Nature Nate” Sheets.

As Nature Nate’s grew, Angie was integral to many critical aspects of the business, including accounting, arranging shipments to customers, starting a payroll system, implementing manuals and guidelines, passing out samples, and much more. Angie’s loyalty to our business, dedication to excellence and servant heart are just a few of the reasons why she’s one of our most valuable teammates.

Meet Angie, Accounts Payable Manager at Nature Nate’s Honey Co.

Q: How would you describe your role on the Nature Nate’s team?

During my time at Nature Nate’s, I’ve gone from being the sole support person and doing a little bit of everything to being a member of a six-person accounting team. My current role as the Accounts Payable Manager is ensuring our relationships with our vendors stay strong. On the surface, I make sure our vendors get paid in a timely manner. But beyond that, it’s my responsibility to show our vendors the true heart of our company. At Nature Nate’s, we view our vendor partnerships as part of our extended family, and we do our best to meet their needs and value the service they are offering to our business.

Having been with Nature Nate’s since the beginning and seeing the company grow over the years, I’ve also accumulated lots of experience and knowledge. I strive to make myself available to help any team members and answer questions about the history of the company that might be helpful when executing new projects.

Q: As a company, we strive to be leaders, whether in honey, on our team, or in our community. How do you see yourself contributing to these high standards?

As a company, we strive to reflect Mark 12:30-31 which says we are to love God with all we have and love our neighbor as ourselves. With this in mind, I make it a priority to volunteer in all of our charitable activities, from working with the National Breast Cancer Foundation, supporting Samaritan’s Inn, or simply buying a gift for someone in need at Christmas. It’s my heart to give back and serve others.

Q: The Nature Nate’s family implements a set of core values called the Bee Attitudes. Is there a specific attitude you strive to implement?

I have always tried to reflect all our company Bee Attitudes. The one that I strive at the most is Bee Faithful. I believe in our company mission, and I believe in the brand that we’ve nurtured all these years. The Bee Faithful Attitude is about having the faith to accomplish our work to the best of our abilities and completing each task with excellence. Throughout my career at Nature Nate’s, I’ve worked hard to emulate these qualities.

Q: What is something you want people to know about Nature Nate’s that they might not know from just looking at our orange label.

Nature Nate’s is not just about selling honey – we are on a mission to do good and make a true impact on the lives of others. Starting within, we are a family. As we reach out, we truly value our customers, vendors, and partners and treat them as our extended family. For us, it’s all about taking care of those around us, nurturing those that God has put into our path and shining forth a servant heart.

Relentless Quality.
Ridiculously Good Taste.
Confidently, the Most Trusted Honey.
